Obvious is an art collective of three researchers, artists, and friends, working on revisiting the world using Artificial Intelligence, and talking about technology through art. They started by creating a series of 11 classical portraits using GAN algorithms. One of those was the first AI artwork to make it to Christie’s, one of the main auction houses. Right after that, they created another series of 11 portraits and 11 landscapes, uning GANs as well. Since then, they have exhibited in some of the world largest museums, and they keep on working on creating art using the last tools brought by machine learning, and talking about the impact of technology on our society.
