Andy Deck is an artist specialized in electronic media. Deck’s best-known works, like Glyphiti, engage Internet visitors in a process of collaborative drawing. His aesthetic program seeks a cultural break from the modernization of passivity and consumerism. Deck is a co-founder of the environmental arts collective Transnational Temps, which has made extensive use of online media in its global efforts to advance Earth Art for the 21st Century. His work has been featured by the Whitney Museum of American Art and Britain’s Tate Online. A recipient of numerous grants and commissions, he has been included in major exhibitions such as net_condition and Programmed.
