Social media is chock-a-block full of horrible grammar, with the broad reach of celebrities showcasing more badly written prose accross Twitter than all other users. Red Balloon, a leading English school in Brazil, asked 8-13- year-old students to check their favorite celebrities’ tweets for proper English usage, and reply to them with suggested grammar corrections and grammar-related videos. Celeb grammar cops garnered hundreds of retweets and numerous websites posted their tweets and videos. For its part, Red Balloon experienced a huge jump in applications from children who wanted to enroll in the school.
