Deutsche Telekom – Instaconcert

The German telecom company used Instagram to create the world’s first live interactive music video. A small number of Ed Sheeran fans were invited to a small stage on the top of Germany’s highest mountain and encouraged to upload their live video feeds on Instagram with the hashtag #EdInstaConcert. A content management system used the hashtag to dynamically connect all of the video feeds and locate them chronologically and spatially. Using an Instaconcert viewer, users could then view the concert footage as if they were there live, moving around the small concert venue and experiencing it from whatever perspectives they desired.
