Rather than announce the launch of the newest version of the popular Call of Duty Black Ops video game, Activision executed the first-ever in-game integration with Snapchat by creating the appearance of a hack. Current players of Black Ops II who recognized the Snap codes embedded and hidden into the game via updates could scan the images to be taken directly to the Call of Duty Snapchat account, where they would receive ongoing briefing about the new Black Ops release.
