Coca Cola – Share a Coke

Staying connected to social media has ironically made us more disconnected than ever. Coca Cola wanted to inspire real-life connections so they invited Australians to share a Coke. They replaced the logo on their cans with 150 of the most popular Australian names. And encouraged customers to share them with friends IRL & on Twitter, #ShareACoke.

Consumers took to the campaign emotionally, seeking out cokes for people they loved and missed, and the demand for personalized cans exploded. In three months, sales volume increased 4%, consumption by youth increased 7%, and the campaign earned 12 million media impressions with a reach of 14 million.
