Transport Accident Commission – Meet Graham

Safer technology in cars gives us a false sense of security; speed is still the number one killer on roads as our bodies are not designed to withstand crashes. TAC in Australia worked with an artist, trauma surgeon and road safety engineer to create Graham, a grotesque lifelike sculpture that shows what a human would need to look in order to survive a low impact car crash without any car safety features. Graham toured the country to areas with higher accident rates, complemented by an AR station that went beneath his skin to show his anatomy.

In 24 hours, Graham sparked a global road safety discussion and became a global phenomenon. He is now part of the Australian school curriculum.
