Panama City developed rapidly into a modern urban centre, but due to high rates of corruption in the nation, roads and other infrastructure have lagged behind. The most influential TV show in Panama decided to bring this issue to the forefront by placing sensors in a large number of potholes. The sensor tweeted a complaint to Panama Department of Public Safety whenever someone drove over a pothole.

Soon after the tweets and public complaints started pouring in, the potholes started being repaired.
