Rembrandt is a Dutch master painter known for his scrupulous study and life-like renditions of people, objects and their surroundings that were ahead of his time. To demonstrate its own connection to new and disruptive technologies, Netherlands bank ING created a project where AI analyzed all of Rembrandt’s work, creating a completely new image that was indistinguishable in style from the originals.

The video of the whole process sparked a global conversation, leading to more than 1,400 articles being written, 1.8 billion media impressions and 12.5 million euros in earned media value.
