When we sweat, we don’t lose just water, we also lose salt and other vital minerals, which can be replaced by drinks containing these electrolytes. To launch their new electrolyte water G Active, Gatorade developed new technology that turned moving water droplets into an animated athlete. Using data, motion capture, and a special “rain rig” that released water in sequence, they recreated and filmed the figure of a moving athlete who ran, boxed and performed other high energy sports.

The campaign received numerous awards and media attention, positively reinforcing Gatorade’s established reputation as a respected brand in sports fuelling.
