Carl’s Jr took a satirical stance to gain the mega retailer’s attention when they began tweeting Amazon a “billion dollar” idea every hour, for 24 hours straight. They maintained that they wanted to explore the option of being acquired by Amazon, when really they were simply generating buzz and drawing attention to their business by suggesting funny and outlandish ideas, such as a selfdriving restaurant and a cloud-based restaurant.
