ALS is a motor neurone disease that worsens over time, leaving people paralyzed and even robbing them of their voice in its advanced stage. Project Revoice created an innovative voice cloning program that used recorded snippets of affected people’s voices to create a natural sounding voice instead of a robotic one. The program was launched by recreating the voice of Pat Quinn, ALS sufferer and co-founder of the now famous Ice Bucket Challenge.
The campaign had a reach of more than 41 million people, with 900 million in earned media. More importantly, over 500 patients joined the program, hoping to regain the ability to sound like themselves again.
