T-Mobile – Dance

It’s common for people to go about their daily lives and not feel part of any community, just another anonymous person moving as part of a big urban network of commuters. T-Mobile inspired public surprise and delight when they invented the flash mob trend at London’s Liverpool Street Station. 350 people performed a seemingly spontaneous, well choreographed dance, and the whole event, including the joyful reactions of passers-by, was caught on hidden cameras. The footage was used to create a video suggesting that life’s for sharing.

Reaching more than 41 million views, the ad became one of the most viewed videos at the time. The “Dance” and “Singalong” ads contributed to a 12% year-on-year increase in footfall for T-Mobile stores.
