Old Irish – 100% Real Virtual Reality

Georgian beer drinkers are skeptical of the exaggerated promises made by various imported beer brands. Makers of Old Irish craft beer wanted Georgians to live their beer slogan and “discover the real taste of Ireland”, so they offered people on the street an experience of Ireland through a pair of VR goggles. While the users engaged in the VR, the Old Irish team pulled together a fake Irish pub set around them. When they removed the goggles, the person was shocked to find they were ‘inside’ a pub in Ireland.

The ad received the first ever Georgian award at Cannes Lions and a Grand Prix at the International Ad Festival in Kiev (KIAF).
