Tensions still ran high in Tunisia in the years following the Arab Spring uprisings. The government prohibited all gatherings including sports games, although teams were still allowed to play in public stadiums. To mobilize their fans for a particularly challenging match, C.S Hammam-Lif created an app that allowed their fans to cheer them on without being in the stadium. Fans chose one of six pre-recorded options during the match and the cheers were transmitted live on the stadium sound system.

The team won by 1-0, the app brought together 93,100 fans and a total of 1.2 million people watched the game.
